Moving
So it looks like I've found myself a new living place for me, Namari, and Kaasan. Thanks to some help from Ryou-san, we found a nice apartment complex that's both cheap and safe, which was what I was looking for the most. Somewhere that I'll feel safe letting Namari roam around and where the neighbors are decent people. And from what I saw, the people that live there are really good people. So I'm happy. Shinji seemed to like it as well when he came with us, so more than likely we'll be neighbors there. Which'll be nice, and I know Namari will be happy knowing Nagisa and Amaya are that close by. (Plus it'll make it easier to keep an eye on them all around.)
Anyway, having sorted out the details with the apartment's landlord already, we're going to be moving in this weekend. The sooner we're out of this house and this part of town in general, the better, so I'm going to do my best to get us moved over as quick as we can. It'll be a lot of work, and I'm sure there's some things we're just going to have to put in storage or sell, because all the contents of this house aren't going to fit into that apartment, but we'll figure it out as we go. Kaasan's still upset that we're having to leave the house, but she'll get over it in time. She knows this move is good for us, especially for the sake of Namari. And it'll mean not having to work herself so much. ...It's been a long time since I last remembered Kaasan getting the chance to really relax at all. Heaven knows she needs it. Namari seems excited about the move though, which is good.
...Though that reminds me, I suppose I need to call...Otousan and let him know about the change in living arrangements. I imagine I could always just wait and let Nii-san do it since he actually likes speaking to him, but I'm about due for my bi-yearly effort to actually try and hold a conversation with him. So might as well get it all done in one go. He's probably going to offer to come and help with the moving. But I'm sure *something* will come up to keep him from actually following through with his plans and coming out here. ...Though if by some chance he actually does end up showing up, I'm invoking the silent treatment. I'm not talking to that man if I don't have to.
Oh yeah...and if anyone feels incredibly bored this weekend and/or thinks lots of manual labor would be the perfect way to spend an afternoon, the help in moving will be welcomed. I've managed to convince a few unfortunate souls to help with the cause, but more is always better~ Masaya's going to hate me by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around...
