[ Crime doesn't sleep, but luckily there is so short on vigilance on Batman's part. He is, of course, on a rooftop, keeping watch for criminals as the ball drops. ]
Pre-hideous crappy Streets of Gotham personality reboot... thing.notbagmanJanuary 1 2011, 04:03:15 UTC
[He's just creepering on you, skulking about in the shadows. In that way he unintentionally does. At least it's Batman, right? Batman won't freak out.]
[Here is where he confirms how lame he is: stumbling a little when he hears the other man's voice, startled a bit. As if he were so stealthy that he could get away with it (...maybe if he had called upon the power of a hundred souls, maybe!). He manages to catch himself, trying to make it come off as kicking a rock or some dirt about, then approaches him.] ...hey? [A question. Nice.]
[New Year's Eve parties always seem to end awkwardly for Zee. Hopefully, there won't be any puke involved -- especially not on her little red dress. For now, though, she'll just try to avoid anyone that might ask her to do a magic trick and hopefully remain sober...]
[Mary Jane loves parties. She loves the music. She loves the decorations. She even loves the crowd, despite most of them being drunk and wobbly and goofy. She's wearing her best little black dress with pumps, and holds her pocketbook in one hand, and a drink in the other. She's only had some salted nuts so far, but she plans to remain sober, at least until the very end of the party.]

[ Reilly, on the other hand, hates parties. Yet here is he is anyway, all suited up, wondering if he can slip away unnoticed. Until he spots a familiar face that makes him freeze. ]

[Mary Jane finds herself around the bar area, tapping her fingers on the counter to the beat of the music, humming a bit, feeling fine and all right. She hasn't noticed the stranger looking at her.]

[ He's not humming or feeling fine. More like sweating bullets as he takes slow steps towards the bar, sits beside her, and addresses the bartender with a familiar (and shaking) voice. ]
[A redhead stumbles over to her, looking awkward in something that might have been a formal dress, long ago. The plastic cup in her hand is, strangely, only full of soda, but one wouldn't know it with the way she trips over her dress.]
You look really familiar, yanno? What's up with that?
[Abby likes parties. She likes having fun. But she also likes spending quality time with her daughter and husband, and it's supposed to be Tefe's first New Years! But yet, here she is, at a party, in a tight green dress, hair tied back, with a glass of some kind of alcohol in one hand, as she awkwardly makes her way through the party.]

[Free hand on her hips, she leans forward. She will crack this woman like a nut, she has excellent interrogation skills.]
