- Watched "Three Extremes" with my sister today - I'm really glad our lunch was vegetarian...
- 150 pages in and still no sign of the Shadow King in "Labyrinth der Träumenden Bücher" ;__;
- Watched the first three episodes of "Once Upon a Time" - how can you make a series about fairy tale characters so boring? And so "un-fairy-tale-ish"? I thought it ( Read more... )

Yay, someone else obsessing over American Horror Story! How many episodes have you seen so far?

O__o I just read the entry on your blog - this is getting creepy... And I've watched eight episodes so far. (And the last one kind of dampened my Tate/Violet shipping ;__; )

Oh, so you've seen everything they've aired so far. Me too. Tate as you-know-who actually makes him much more interesting to me than when he was just some emo teenager. Honestly I kinda still like Tate/Violet if only because of the epic meltdown for everybody - living and dead - in that house when Violet and everyone else finds out the truth.

And Tate himself is just so epically screwed up and fascinating. He's this bizarre mixture of sweet and evil. He has a good intention - comforting Nora - but then his methods are pure evil.

Well, Tate is one of my favourite characters because he's unpredictable and layered. I'm not quite sure whether Violet brings out his good, friendly side, or whether he's just acting friendly to manipulate her...
My Violate shipping went from "Awww, that's so tragically romantic!" to "Well, if all else fails he can always chain her up in the attic!"
Who are your favourite/ least favourite characters?

I re-watched the first episode again last night, keeping in mind all the things we learned since that episode, and my theory now is based on 1. Violet's horror when Tate "scares" Leah by letting the undead creature attack her and Tate's later carefulness to conceal his violence from Violet, and 2. Moira's statement to Tate in the last episode that he needs to get over his need to please the women in the house. I think Tate is trying to make Violet happy by giving her what she wanted: someone who understands her.

By the way, do you think Violet is already dead or not?

My favorite character is Vivien. And least favorite is Hayden. Yeah, Constance is probably worse than Hayden, but Constance is still somehow kinda sympathetic and entertaining while Hayden is just irritating and I want her off the show.

Oh... I thought he might a little more selfish: That he needs someone (preferrably "a good person", but the other women in the house will do, too) to accept him (/forgive him) in order to "move on"; that by helping Violet he might get one step closer to redemption. Even though he might not be aware of it ( ... )

Yeah, I think his need to please the women is about him needing acceptance or love or approval that he didn't get in life. Like he said himself, maybe he has mommy issues. Constance certainly was a very bad mother.

As for Violet, I'm torn between thinking she's dead and thinking that the writers are trying to mislead us into believing she's dead. I'm not sure which I'd prefer to be true.
