"Pro-life" people really agrivate me sometimes. I was just reading my sister's livejournal, and there was a discussion about it, and I have to say, women are being robbed of basic rights. Whether I agree with abortion or not, IT IS NOT my responsibility to make a woman's decision. And most certainly not the government's. And not only abortion, but gay marriage? George Bush is attempting to pass an amendment to make gay marriage illegal. This would be the first amendment ever (if it were to be passed) to discriminate against a certain minority. And what makes me two times as sick is that the Judiciary system can declare laws "constitutional" and "unconstitutional," but, of course, they don't declare this unconstitutional. And it clearly is, seeing as in Amendment I it states that, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free excercise thereof." America is a great place because it is a melting pot of all societies, religions, races, and cultures. George Bush is basing his anti-gay marriage beliefs on Christianity. THAT is unconstitutional. And also marriage is a contract, you don't need to have a religious ceremony to get married, you just need to sign papers and have a clergyman of the peace conduct a ceremony.

It just doesn't make sense to me how people can hate people so much and want to take away other's rights because the way they are seems "untraditional."
