(Hopefully) Final Thoughts

So I was proposing that I had been healed on Saturday, a chain of events in the past two days has led me to a new conclusion!

On Sunday i slept over at Eli's place, and as I lay down, the pain came back. I quickly sat up. Read a chapter of my book till it faded. Once I lay down again, the pain returned. So for the rest of the night, I slept upright.

Last night, at around 10pm, the pain came back so strong that I started shouting and hitting walls. Thanks to the pain, I stayed awake till 12 before it began to ebb. (In the meantime, I had fruitful conversation with Bryan about his BB and Weichang about God which made me super happy and with Xiu about her job and promises of supper, so I'm thankful for that too!!!)

I thus went to my sofa, plonked myself on it and tried to sleep upright. Within 5 minutes, the pain returned and it was unbearable again but I could not shout because the house was silent and asleep. So I would sit up straight to try and make it leave but it wouldn't and this went on until 3, where I finally gave up and went to my room and lay down and somehow I fell asleep.

As i type this now, a throbbing ache pulls at my molar and I feel like smashing pottery.

If you read all of that, you might be asking - Where is God's hand in all this?

Today morning as I awoke my mom told me what she had found out from Leroy's dad - Dr Ng, the dentist on Sat who I was scheduled to do the op with, is great at diagnosis, but also at doing hasty ops. In other words, he is NOT gentle. Leroy's dad said that his work is more painful than Perfect Dentist - An old clinic that our families frequented, just doing a filling there would leave me scarred for a week(and I am being dead serious here) because the dentist, while charging dirt cheap rates, would be rough and careless and cause gums to bleed and drill mercilessly.

Today's appointment at 12noon is a dentist who has worked with my mom before, and she described her experience as painless, so God, you know that I am fearful of dental ops, you know which dentist is best, so I trust your plan in giving me this dentist and I believe you'll make it a good, painless surgery. Thanks for being wise :)

god, leroy
