Exodus 2:23 - God heard the groans of the children of Israel, remembered His covenant with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and sent them a savior, Moses. Know today that our intercessions and our heartfelt pleas are heard by God. Hold Him to His promises, press in for what we know is right, and He will be faithful :)
Exodus 16: God our Provider.
When the Israelites emerged from slavery into freedom, they encountered new challenges. God provided manna for them, thus meeting their need. Yet, despite the instructions of Moses, the Israelites tried to store up old manna, only to have it breed worms and rot.
We often do the same - we know that God is good and that He is willing to bless and provide for us if we just draw near to Him and fellowship with Him. Yet, we find ourselves holding on to His gifts, and feeling disappointed or bitter when the good times don't last.
There's a good reason for that - God wants a relationship with us! He wants us to keep coming back to Him, because He knows that the best gift we can receive is to be in communion with Him, to spend time with Him, to enjoy His presence. Don't hold on to gifts that thieves can break in and steal and that moth and rust can destroy. Hold on to the Giver, because His love and grace are eternal and never ever change :)
