So, anyways...

I started my internship on Thursday at the York Theatre. It's really great. Except, all the people that work there are gay men - as if I don't have enough in my life. But they're cute and they think I'm fabulous, of course. ;)
I did the basic intern stuff: Copy, file, organize, blow job - just kidding!
But I did get to organize the archives, and I learned that the York did the first staged readings of "Avenue Q" when it was not much more than a concept. So, they gave it a chance, and then 4 years later, it won the Tony...not a bad place to be affiliated with, if you ask me. And while I was organizing, they were rehearsing for a staged reading that was going on that night, so I had like a new-musical-live-soundtrack playing while I worked. It was really exciting! Can't wait for more!!!

This week I'm also starting rehearsals for my next musical directing scene. The book is an auto-biography written by the professor teaching the class. So it's about a middle aged woman with a mental disease. Her neuro-transmitters are personified, and it is the most terrible and trite script ever. So, it will be oh so much fun!

I thought I had so much more to say, but - oh! I know.

My friend Corey started this choir, and he's paying me to be the accompaniest. It's really annoying though, because he talks to me like I'm an idiot, and that just because I don't have "musical theatre minor" attached to my degree, I must not know nearly as much about music. And a part of me wishes that I could sing in this choir too, but I'm the only one who is good enough at the piano - who'd a thunk it? Highschool to college - a girl can't catch a break. I guess I'll never be good for anything but playing the piano.

Anyways, how are you?

P.S. I've grown an intolerance to alcohol, I believe - because I threw up as a response to too much alcohol last night for the second time this month.
