Today was the last day of camp. I brought in white keds and had everyone I could fit sign them with bright sharpies.
We did a run-through. Then, in our casts, did a speed-through without blocking so we could pick up on cue lines. After, we faced the challenge of creating a commercial for our show. Lunch with more signing of sneakers. Back to the theatre for another run.
Then, the three teachers said that over lunch, they had come up with their favorite parts of each of our induvidual performances. It was touching to see that they noticed each and every one of us, even if we didn't have many lines. My comment was that I have a reaction for every single thing that happens on stage, which is a good thing to have when being an actor.
We're back at 7:15 to set up (since the stage is getting painted a nice, shiny black for us!) and hang out before the show.
I'm soo excited to get to the show, but it's bittersweet. I won't be able to return to Spotlight next year, since I'll be a college freshman at that point, but I'm hoping and praying that I'll be able to assist with the little kids' camp.
