What You Have Been Missing.
1. First Name:
Logan Kaitlin Murphy. Logan, which means "meadow" in Gaelic, is for my great-grandmother Anne-Logan (who used to beat up people for saying Logan was a boy's name). Kaitlin was just a name my parents liked and I love how it's spelt.
2. Age:
17. My birthday is March 28, 1991 if anyone cares about that.
3. Location:
Barre, MA, USA. It's a small-ish town near the Quabbin Resevoir. I've lived here since I was two, after moving from Northboro.
4. Occupation:
I'm an assistant librarian at the local Woods Memorial Library. I've worked there since August 2007 and I absolutely love it. I basically shelve books, cover and sticker them, work on little projects that spruce the children's room up, and help with programs.
5. Partner:
None at the moment. And none in the past - I've been happily single but I'd like to have a date for my Senior Dinner Dance.
6. Kids:
None, but I want at least two.
7. Brothers/Sisters:
+ Brendan - He's 16 and pretty much into goth/emo stuff. We're not incredibly close, but we get along relatively well. He wants to be a history teacher.
+ Kevin - He's 14 and a golfer. He's convinced that he's going to become a PGA Champion and spends almost every day on a golf course. He drives me crazy since he doesn't always think before he speaks and sometimes ends up asking stupid questions that frustrates me.
+ Colleen - She's 12 and annoying as all hell. We share a room, so things aren't always peachy between us. In fact, sometimes we downright hate each other. No one is sure what she wants to do with her life at this point.
8. Pets:
+ Phantom - She's our cat and she's about three. More like a "devil in disquise" like the song says. She's grey, white, and tiny little patches of light brown. She hates collars and comes to me when I whistle for her, since she hates whistling.
+ Otto - He's our parekeet. We've had him for forever and he's still kicking. He hates people since Kevin never went to the trouble to hand-train him. He likes to talk to my father, though.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
+ I'm starting to look for colleges. It's exciting since I really want to get to college and start living life. (more about this in #10)
+ Phantom has run away and it's been about a week. Mom has talked to people who have had cats run away and they say it could be weeks, but I'm still scared for her. I go outside and whistle for her every night with the hopes that she'll come to me. I don't mind so much that we'll have kittens, since she was in heat when she ran off, I'm more frightened that she won't come back.
+ My goal this summer is to clean my room completely. Like, get rid of anything that I will never use again. The room is a mess and I hate it, since I can't bring friends over without feeling embarrased.
+ I'm also going to try and go for a two-mile walk every day. I want to lose at least ten pounds this summer.
10. Where and for what did you go to school for?
I haven't gone to college yet. I want to go for musical theater and history, minoring in something. I'm looking at Emerson, Ithaca, Johnson State, Columbia in Chicago, and Georgetown right now.
11. Parents?
Dad is 57 and a golf course manager. He runs a motorcycle group and the two things pretty much eat up his life. Mom is 45 and is an operating room nurse at UMass. She's adorable and cranky and helpful and overprotective all at the same time.
12. Who are some of your closest friends?
+ Robyn - We've been friends since seventh grade World History. We've actually grown apart this year.
+ Danielle - Another friend from middle school.
+ Lane - An amazing girl. I first heard of Lane in middle school since my science teacher said she'd confuse us. Then, I met her at one of Sam's parties, then in homeroom sophomore year. She's going to Georgetown to major in Government and Pyschology, minoring in Spanish. She's always wanted to be a lawyer since I've known her.
