Conduit XVI

Sorry in being so late on the convention report. Overall the convention was fun but not as awesome as baycon is so there were a few small feelings of disappointment.
The weekend went fantastically. At my hotel I got to go swimming in an indoor outdoor pool. They use a salt water treatment instead of chlorine making it all nice for your skin. The highlights of the actual convention are as follows
Watching anime in the anime room which was run by people my age so had some more modern good anime.
Playing Dance Dance Revolution on a big projector screen.
Exploring the dealers room and drooling over the Arsenic Fashions booth (yep totally goth)
I bought a really cool present for clint while he was looking at dice. The people at the booth were nice and wrapped it really quickly wiht a bunch of shopko bags so he wouldn't see what it is.
Having dinner with Seanna, Wendy, and Momiji at Ihop.
We went to the masquerade show which was really cute and funny. I loved the half-time show which had Howard Tayler (my favorite webcomic writer)doing a drawing contest on whiteboards against volunteers. It was alot like a scifi fantasy pictionary game.
We wnet to their icecream social which was only 25cents a scoop. !score!
They had a penny fund raiser where momiji in her whisper the druid costume competed to be the conventions mascott.
I went to the dealers room and got myself a schlock the mercenary book. Howard signed it for me and did a custom sketch in the back of my favorite 2 characters schlock and elf.
Blue Table Painting had a booth in the dealers room one day. I was sad Sean wasn't there because I wanted him to meet Clint. Instead Heather Shi was there and looking alot happier and healthier then before. It was fun chatting whit her. Clint and I tried to go to several interesting panels but they all turned out to suck so we wandered off. I wish they had let Howard do a panel he's hilarious and good at keeping people riveted. The best part of the convention was spending it with clint and going to the art auction. We hadn't planned on buying any art and then when the first painting came out clint ran to get us an auction number. We had fun bidding against other people and got some Amazing prints for phenomenal prices. Clint bought a huge Ruth Thomson print of a glorious black dragon. He also got a dark blue merman picture. I got a cute picture with a dragon and a cat sitting in a window. I wasn't the only cat lover though and got in a big bidding war over that one. One was a little fairy winged field mouse. Also a beautiful fairy in a ball gown. Over all it was fun and I got some nice things to take home with me. Clint said we could probably go to baycon next year which is exciting and a bit of a relief.
