Spongie blogs while London burns...
Widespread criminal damage, some for the purpose of looting but plenty for the sake of it. London and surrounding areas, Birmingham, Liverpool, now it's spread to Bristol. Residents in Ealing (west London) are reporting that rioters are actually breaking into people's houses. I'm personally not worried, despite reports of things kicking off in Camden near the tube station (shops attacked and looted before police arrived with dogs; it's under 10 minutes walk away); in fact, I'm currently housesitting for a friend who lives a couple of blocks nearer to the action, as she's away on holiday right now.
In case I haven't made this clear often enough in the past: I hate this country and I hate the people.
