This post goes out to all my creative peeps. The icon makers, the story tellers, the banner bums, the drabble ditties, the wallflowers of wallpaper, the music video maestro, and to all who take their passion for a show, book, movie or idea to a creative level

Thank you for putting up these little LJ posts every now and then. I really like to read what your mind is up to. ;)
I don't know if I'm the right person to talk about this topic, though, as I'm not much of a planner when it comes to creative stuff. I rather go with my guts.
There's only one project which I really put my heart into and which is dying a slow death despite my wish to continue and that does hurt, yes. I started a BSG vid about 16 months ago, a very work-intensive one, I finished half of it rather quickly and then didn't find the time to continue. When I finally had time to continue, I was confused by 4.5's story and didn't quite know how to make that part of what I was trying to do with the vid. So I once again left it alone. When I once again had some time and wanted to continue, I bought upgraded vidding software, ripped all episodes in better quality and...this messed up my ability to vid because the program can't handle it. Since then? I've not vidded a thing and am very depressed. :(
Anyway, if you can't motivate yourself to finish a project, even though you theoretically have the choice to do so, let it go. It won't be any good if you have to force yourself to finishing it, anyway. Move on and play with the fresh ideas that are close to your heart at this very moments. You can always go back to this old project if you feel like it, even if it wasn't updated for 2 years or so. :P

Wait a minute . . . how'd you know the project I was thinking of hasn't been updated for 2 years?
