DAY ONE
school was alright, went quick- AP Lit this morning, free block that i used to talk to my college counselor, then advanced creative writing, so that was beautiful.
THEN I RAN 5 MILES TODAY. and i ran the second half in a shorter time than i did the first half. total was about 45.29 or so. i felt so fucking fantastic afterwards, it was just brilliant. granted my shins are murdering me, but thats not a happy thing and this is day ONE OF 8 DAYS OF HAPPY
THEN i went to the barn, and saw my beautiful boy who was actually rather happy to see me...which he then proved he was kidding about by trying to bronc me off for the first ten minutes of the lesson.
BUT. we had some BEAUTIFUL flat work that i wish i had caught on camera, and after Gaelin was done being all "WHEEE IM A RODEO PONY!!" we had some really nice trot and canter and halt work over cavalettis.
TL;DR: Nellie ran 5 miles and felt great, and had a massive Lightbulb lesson.
