Thought I'd post a few images of the art I've been working on lately. I'm really loving sculpting clay and, especially, raku firing said sculptures. It's incredibly fun--smoke, fire, labor, cooperation, yelling--really a nice little Sunday activity. :) So, here's one of my little raku sculptures. I don't have a title for her. The sculpture minus base is about 3 1/2 inches tall.
I'm also incorporating pottery pieces into mixed media paintings on wood. Both of these also have accompanying poems. I'm still weighing a few titles for the owl, but the horses are called "Never Never."
