(no subject)
I'm planning a party in the back of my head, a tea party for the summer birthdays. All the ceramic teapots and teacups and saucers the boys have made and finger foods and a lot of funny old hats (I can't decide if I want one of those wide brimmed straw church hats or a little pillbox with feathers and a veil). Then we'll eat cake and play cards and get drunk and hopefully avoid breaking too many tea cups.
It's been a quiet Friday and it should be a quiet weekend. Alex is going to John's to help him out, Mistie and Ryan are still in the Keys, so Alice and I are going to have some time to ourselves. I think we'll go someplace special for lunch and go shopping for school supplies. And I need to get my dog back from the folks' house. He spent last weekend there while we were in the Keys. I miss him.
