Adventure
Well, we saw Up yesterday with the kid at a 9 am showing. Had the theater practically to ourselves and 3D glasses on so no one noticed my crying like an idiot. This wasn't my favorite Pixar movie, but it did beat Finding Nemo for most tear-inducing opening sequence and pretty much any movie ever for most heart-rending emotional climax.
It also highlights everything good about Pixar--how they treat their audience with respect, how they make movies that say something more complicated than "be yourself," how they make all their characters achingly human.
Plus it's pretty.
Gotta go get ready for tomorrow's class and get a little artwork done. I've got some good ideas going and don't want to lose them. In spite or maybe because of being really busy, this is turning into a pretty productive summer.
