In spite of being sleepy from the party and all its attendant craziness, I was up at 5 this morning. Blame Alice's lingering cough and habit of grinding her teeth like a rock tumbler when she's not sleeping well, but also blame my need for some quiet time after the past couple of weeks of extreme business. We've also talked amongst our artist friends about what we would want people to do with our art if they don't want to keep it. Most people have said that, with the exception of a few really special pieces, they would rather you just took it to the Goodwill when you get tired of it. That way maybe it will go on to a new life with someone else who loves it, or at the very least can become part of someone else's art if, say, a poor art student wants to save money on canvas by buying old canvases at the thrift store and painting over them. I admit that I have done this with very few pieces, but only ones I know the other person wasn't too attached to in the first place.
