I've always sang (sung?) to Maeve, from the first day she was born...and now, she's singing to me! She can sing several songs by heart, and will even burst into song all on her own. Her current favorite is Clementine, but she occasionally sings Camptown Races, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Row Row Row Your Boat, or She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain. She knows at least two verses to each song as well!
I'm taking her for her first pony ride this month - My friend Laura took her daughter, Maria, to a place near here for a pony ride, and then for ice cream, and I decided that sounded like a nice day, so I got all the info and Maeve and I are going soon! I'm sure Aunt Crystal will approve. The zoo and another trip to the Children's Museum is also in the works!
We ran into my friend Annette and her daughter Lilly the other day. Lilly and Maeve share the same birthday, born only 10 hours apart. It's really fun to watch the girls together, they giggle, tickle, and chase, as well as share books and play nicely. It's almost like they share a special bond, being born the same day. :)
