Au revoir, c'était intéressant...
After 4-and-a-bit years and 112 entries, I've decided that I'm not going to post on LiveJournal any more. The idea behind joining it in the first place was to have a place to vent my frustrations and my joys, to announce details of my musical plans and exploits, and to have relaxed, friendly discussions about things (I think I said that to someone at the time, probably Mike who convinced me to join LJ in the first place).
Well, it's emerged that very few people have ever made very useful comments to anything I've posted, and some posts have never - ever - been commented on. Those people who do comment on my profile I generally see on MSN on a fairly (if not very) regular basis, and thus LJ has been rendered reduntant on that count.
I've got plans for my own Website, which will take over the duties of announcing the 'musical plans and exploits' bit, so there's another use for LJ either diminished or done away with.
As for friendly, relaxed discussions, I've only very rarely had any of those here. It's MSN's place, really, to provide the medium for those, which (yet again) renders LJ completely redundant.
I'm not sure if I'll miss posting here. It's seen a huge change in my personality over the last four years, borne witness to much turmoil and trepidation, and witnessed me grow gradually happier and change into a much more balanced (albeit not entirely normal =P) human being. However, it's gradually become less and less useful to me over the last while, and it is with both sadness and a contrary sense of inevitability that I announce my withdrawal from this site.
I'll continue to read your posts, of course, but you won't be seeing any more of mine.
Finally, I leave you with these few lines from Shelley:
