The truth is...

I have nowhere in which I can really vent. I make the mistake of, no matter where I blog/ect, inviting ppl from my personal life to have access to it. And, tbh, lately I have a lot in which to vent about. But that's neither here nor there.

It's pointless to vent and flail about things beyond my control. But I WILL, however, say that things are starting to look up on the Anna front.

I have managed to work a good deal on my book. My characters and the arc are going in a way I never really thought it would--seriously, brain, zombies/steampunk/mythology all rolled into one? what are you smoking and why wasn't the rest of me invited?--

As of tax time this coming year, should the world not cease to exist or blow up, I shall be paying off a student loan that has prevented me from returning to college for almost ten years. After this is done i shall beeeee... returning to school to become a gunsmith. Roberto and I have decided that Trinidad State University in Colorado would best suite our needs.

So yeah... I shall be moving to Colorado soon! :D

There is still some debate as to whether I will finish up my associates prior to going to take up gunsmith school or if I should jump in feet first and just stick with Trinidad the entire rest of the way for my education. So far the whole get-my-associates-first thing is looking the most favourable.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I do not have a particular fondness for guns. Well, to be honest, I do dislike them. BUT I have also decided to take up hunting (in a sense that I am trying to get robbie and me to be more self-sufficient, rather than being able to pop down to the store anytime we want something). While, personally, I have a particular fondness for the ancient art of bow hunting and ect, most of the hunters I know are gun hunters, which can make for awkwardness while hunting. And I'm wanting to stick mainly to your classic rifles, instead of assault rifles for hunting. And I am actually going to be taking a course on proper handling for handguns (just in case I get my dream job as a security guard at the local nuclear plant which would require me to be armed). My aim is rather good, despite never really ever handling guns.

But I am mostly wanting to take up being a gun smith because it's a dying craftsmanship. I'd be learning a craft which can actually end up leading to other artistic type endeavors. And, living in America... if there's one thing Americans love, it's their guns... so yeah the job market would be fairly easy to make a living. The additional bonus is that it helps me with my writing. Not to mention, if I don't end up getting my own shop after my apprenticeship, there's always getting a gov't job with my certifications ;)

(BTW we totally bombed on getting the house, financing fell through because of some funds we came into that we couldn't explain D:. But in all that is probably a good thing considering we'll be moving to Colorado soon).

rl crap
