Review of 'Stone Rose'

Nov 04, 2006 22:39

So I went and picked up my book from books-a-million and got home around 1... and am now done reading it... so here's my review of it.

It had enough Beatles reference to keep me giggling through out half of it... )

reviews, book reviews

Yes - but this one had a KISS! a non-possessed KISS! It made me extremely happy - I also have the audio book, because la Tennant reads it so beautifully. Although they cut most of the shippiness out of the audio. There was still a KISS!

And it was the Doctor that initiated it to boot :x

Exactly! Which is why I read this book about every two weeks! Seriously, I need to just start skipping to the back and reading that paragraph only, lol.

There is an audio book of that? Read by David?! Do you know if it's downloadable somewhere? I'd love to hear it

Again I listened to the audio books read by David Tennant! How is the best person ever to read this shippy book!

I loved the GENIE:D I felt really bad for it, it was trying so hard... Vanessa was a little bit of nit wit at the end wishing that. Didn't learn her lesson really.

There was kiss! A I'm so happy you are alive kiss with lots of shippiness around the edges. Why couldn't we see that on screen. David Tennant reading it to you was a good second best though.

The Doctor broke my head when he tried to save Rose, going back to London and failing. Then telling the goddness that Rose was prettier then her. (what a shippy moment that was). There are just lots of little moments in the book that I love.

I didn't find the plot that spellbinding since there are other audio books I've liked better inside and outside of the Rose/Doctor audios. Thus far my two favorite are Martha/Ten books just for the plot or/and Freema's amazing reading voice.

I loved this book, it's still one of my favourite Doctor Who ones out there.
In fact I think it was the first one I read. :)
Only Human was great too!
