now i know most of you have been to florida so you know all about it, but i'm gonna write about it anyways.
first i'll start off with a little disney joke that i heard on the way down: Mickey and Minnie are in divorce court. The judge says to Mickey, "after thorough examinations, we have determined that Minnie is not crazy and has no mental problems." Then Mickey says "No sir you misunderstood, i said she was fucking Goofy!!!"
secondly, i'd like to announce our achievement: kerrin and I sat in the front seat for every single big ride: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Aerosmith, Tower of Terror, The Great Movie Ride, Dinosaur, Test Track, Spaceship Earth, and Universe of Energy with Bill Nye and Ellen.
ok so first: philadelphia airport sucks. sometin went wrong there so our first flight was delayed like 2 hours. then when we got there our flight to orlando was delayed like 4 hours. then we sat in the plane on the runway for an hour because there was 24 planes ahead of us. once we finally got to orlando, we had to wait a while for our bags so it all sucked.
our hotel was rediculous. it has 7 pools and a pizza hut that delivered. it looked more like a condominium complex. we had our own little villa and it was rediculously nice. it is also only 5 minutes from disney.
the first morning we went to MGM. aerosmith was awesome. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds is rediculous. we were in the front lol, and it is sooo much better cause you cant see anybody or anything. then we went to tower of terror. i'll admit i was freaked out...but it wasnt the physical aspect that freaked me out. it was the weird twilight zone stuff before the drop. like the darkness and people gettin zapped and it was just messed up. then we went on the great movie ride. it was pretty cool to go "into the movies", even if it was corny stuff. then i saw my first 3-d movie, Muppet Vision. it was awesome because those guys that heckle everybody were sittin up in the balcony, and i've loved the muppets all my life. kerrin and i found a DDR game and got a crowd goin and they clapped lol it was cool. then we left and went to Magic Kingdom. Splash mountain was fun, but i thought it would be bigger cause of all the hype. Big thunder mountain was better than i expected though. (i probably like all the stupid stuff because before this i had only been to canobie). the fireworks show was really good. then we did the haunted mansion, which was ok.
day 2 of disney, we went to epcot. test track was ok- the only good part was when you go fast outside. turkey legs are really good. we did the whole world showcase thing which was interesting to shop "in all the different countries" then we did spaceship earth, which i thought was interesting to see the progression of human life. i'm weird like that. next was Universe of Energy with Bill Nye and Ellen. the beginning was like an IMax movie. which was incredible when they did the big bang for the beginning of the universe. then it was like a slow ride through the land of dinosaurs which was cool to watch. it was entertaining. then we went to honey i shrunk the audience, another 3-d movie. it was really cool when the snake tries to bite you. next was one of the best rides i've ever been on....Mission Space. its a new ride. it is like a simulator that simulates (duh) what is it like to blast off in a space shuttle and then slingshot around the moon, avoid astroids, and have a rough landing on mars. i got pretty disoriented durring it, but it made it more interesting haha. if you havent been on it, you HAVE to. then was the fireworks show on the water. it was really good.
day 3- animal kingdom. everybody said it wasnt good, but i liked it. this was the first time we saw characters. it was cool, cause i had never been to disney before so i was a little kid again. :-D Dinosaur is another great ride. i did duck once, at the very end with that huge dinosaur that comes over the top of you while you drop under it. i'll be honest lol. then we did the rapids thingy which was ok. the safari was cool cause i had never seen exotic animals before. then we saw those african guys that do all the rediculous things like the limbo and such. it was really cool. then for dinner we went to planet hollywood. it was one of the best dinners. there was all sorts of movie props hangin around which was really fun to look at. and then halfway thru the meal they made us get up and dance to the YMCA. we were on live tv in new york, i think @ the planet hollywood there. that dinner was awesome.
day 4: blizzard beach. not much to say- your typical water park. except for summet plummet. its like geronimo @ water country, except this one is 140 feet tall! they say you go 60 mph....on your back...it was such a rush it was incredible. then me and kerrin went to the pirates dinner adventure. it was really cool. we were in the green section and cheered for Jose. he was pimpin it with the gypsy girl. Jose won in the end cause hes the man.
day 5: last day...started off with a character breakfast. it was cool because we got to be little kids again. kerrin, dad, and i had never been to disney before, so seeing the characters was cool. it was fun to be 8 again. our waitor had the quote of the vacation: (my dad, jokingly) "Can i have some coffee?!?! I need my coffee!!! Where is my coffee?!?!?" (the waitor) "are you from boston?" (my dad) "ya, how'd you know?" (the waitor) "your attitude!!!" it was awesome. it turns out that the guy was from lowell so we talked for a while about boston and such. then we went to magic kingdom. we did space mountain which is the shit. lol. we obviously did splash again and then big thunder mountain. and we did that buzz lightyear thing to kill time. it was cool cause you get to shoot stuff. then we just went back to the pool cause we were really tired. the pool we swam at was really cool it had this waterfall thing which was fun. it also had these things that were like floating see-saws. me and kerrin kept tryin to toss each other off. that was fun.
then we came home- the flights all went normal, no delays, no nothing. well we had a 4 hour layover in NC which sucked, but oh well. i'm home now and thats all
