Do you remember when you were a child?
How innocent and simple the world around you was?
When your biggest worries were whether or not you had homework or what your parents would make for dinner?
Do you remember when every story had a Happily Ever After at the end?
How you beileved your best friend would stay your best friend even when primary school was finished?
When the worst threat someone could give you was "I won't be your friend" or "I'l tell your mummy!"?
When every game came from your own imagination or featured your favourite TV show/movie/storybook?
How Mummy was your favourite person and Daddy was the man you would marry?
Do you remember that throughout childhood our greatest wish was to grow up?

How wrong were we?

Teenage years brings in trouble in all forms. School turns into a prison of pressure where simple letters on a page decided your entire future. Best friends change into people you don't recognise. The world becomes a place where wars, corruption and money problems reign supreme. The worst is how once-close members of familes turn into the other's worst enemies.

Once again The Mother and The Older Sister were arguing. It started off with a nag from The Mother for The Older Sister to do her ironing and tidy her room. The Other Sister said she would do both tomorrow. Somehow this escaletaes into a row which leaves both in a mood. The Older Sister goes for a walk and The Mother goes to visit my grandad. When she returns, the Older Sister simply does her make up and is away again. Cue The Mother asking me to confirm that The Older Sister never said a word. I explained that their constant arguing was something we were all sick of and  was met with the fact the rows were always between The Older Sister and her, they never involved The Father unless one called on him to defend her. I then asked whether or not she was the same with her parents. (Possible bad move on my part) I finished with repeating my claim of satying out of it and expressing my longing for that day when my A Level results come in Summer 2012 and hopefully ensures my leaving to go away to university to become a teacher.

I just wish it would stop.
