All is right in the world.
My boss got fired on Thursday from the company for reasons I cannot disclose. Thursday was our inventory day and as soon as they were done, they discussed everything with him for about 2 hours and had a cop escort him off the premesis. Later that night I called Flat's to see how long James (the piercer) was gonna be there and took a ride out. My conch is still acting like its brand new and I got it pierced 4 months ago so I wanted to change it out from a ring to a barbell to minimize movement and reduce the scarring I was starting to build up. Got there, gave him the barbell I bought on sale from BAF, and he looked at my ear. He said it looked more like an allergic reaction to the jewelry than anything but there was signs of "abuse" as well lol. Switched out the jewelry and came home and fell asleep.
Friday is our truck day. Every Friday, Rich and Houa unload our shipment off of the truck around 6 and Toni and I get there at 7 and help out. Needless to say, Rich wasnt gonna be there to help Houa unload so Toni and I got there at 6 as well. It was quite the early morning for me. I put in a long 10 hour day that day, it blew. Toni and I were basically the only ones doing any of the truck until noon when Terri got there but she didnt do much. Somehow Toni and I managed to put away aisles 5 (Peggy and I did that actually), 8, 7, and half of 6 before Marissa got there at 1. That's a LOT for just two exhausted people. My arms hurt so bad after I was done sorting all the totes that I couldnt lift anything for a while lol. But anyways Toni and I wanted to leave at 2 but not enough of the truck was done so we stayed till 4 and finished up aisle 6 and by the time we left everything was done. Keep in mind all Marissa and Terri had to do was aisle 2, 4 and 9 since aisle 1 gets taken care of by Ceil and aisle 3 is the card aisle. So we did four huge aisles and they only had to do 3 small ones. Yeah. Anyways! Looked at my ear when I got home and the bumps from allergic reaction / scarring on my conch has reduced by at least half and my ear isnt sore at all anymore. I guess it was allergies! Im so happy that I can actually lay down on my left side now. It's such a relief. Derek sent me two postcards from Bahrain and a letter from when he was between Bahrain & Greece somewhere. If I just got three letters after a month, how was I supposed to send him a carepackage that he was gonna receive if he was gonna be home less than a month after I was gonna send it? Im glad now that I didnt waste money on shipping cause I would've been pissed if he received it when he was in Groton. Read those and laid down and fell asleep around 5. I didnt wake up till 830 when Paul called me seeing what I was doing. He came up for a bit and we watched Cinderella Man and a couple Invader Zim & Roseanne episodes on tv. Went to bed around 3am cause I was waiting for a text from him saying he was home.
Today I woke up and ate and thats pretty much all I did today since I didnt have work. Oh I copied Zathura to my computer, and created a dvd of that for my mom and one of Crash for my grandma. Hooray for being minutely productive! lol. So yeah thats all for now. Derek comes home in 11 days and we leave either the 9th or the 10th for Ohio. Nikki Im so excited to meet you!!!!! We're also probably gonna to go Canada and Niagra Falls in addition to Detroit and Cleveland and Im sure other places. Its gonna be an awesome trip. What else is there to do in that part of the country, anyone have any ideas?
