Santa’s Little Helper

Boy, have I been busy!
I’m surprised I’m not
At all dizzy.
I’ve been passing out gifts,
To friends-
Their sadness lifts.

Little Claus is coming to town,
Gather round.
My job’s almost done-
A few more gifts to pass out,
Not just one.

I’ve made Christmas week,
A joy that I seek.
Today, I surprised the maintenance guy,
Couldn’t catch him as
He was passing by.

Got a hug after,
With laughter.
Then on to the activity department-
Hard to catch her,
But my energy was spent.

Two more to go,
Can’t talk-
Gotta hurry,
Mustn’t be slow.

I’ll save the best for last,
So keep busy-
Soon, the wait
Won’t last.
