The Day After
The day after,
The wedding’s laughter.
What a crazy night!
What a sight!
I ❤ how things turned out,
Don’t know what all
The fuss really,
Was about.
My bestie and I ended up working the after party,
Was up past my bedtime-
Was I a smarty?
Boy, was I tired!
After 3 hours,
Not wired.
Back-up DJ quit,
At the last minute.
Leaving us not much time,
To get our show,
In line.
We had to work fast,
Instead of taking our time-
So the fun,
Could last.
I wonder if music will be needed,
For Friday’s decorating party-
Thanksgiving preced.
We can provide music-
As decorating is going on-
Holiday memories seeded.
