The Fierceness of GUS

Sep 03, 2004 10:51

I took Gus on his daily morning walk today, but this time we slightly deviated from our typical walk, choosing to go left when we exited our gate instead of right. On this new walk path, we passed a nice looking tree surrounded by a square of dirt and brick. Tacked to the base of the tree was a 4 x 6 index card that read "CURB YOUR DOG". Gus went right up to the tree and pissed all over the index card. He then gives me this look as if to say, "Top that." I love him.

Our new kitten, Ziggy, is becoming the kitten from hell. Whatever though. He's the most precious creature that I've ever seen. He's such a Daddy's kitty, always falling asleep in the nook between my head and my torso (aka near the neck). I hope you all get to meet him soon. I shall have a grand dinner party that will be Ziggy's official Debutante Ball, where he will be introduced to our little microcosm of a society.

I began therapy the other day. well, actually, i went to part one of my three part placement plan. Strange, i sat and spoke with a social worker for an hour and a half and had no reservations opening up. Therapy seems stupid. I will sit on a couch and basically whine for an hour about my poor life. Better than life in Africa, no? What the hell do I have to complain about? Am I dying of AIDS? Has the military death squad come and slaughtered all of my loved ones? Whatever.
