Stupid Girls (Entry #2)

Many people these days underestimate the importance of vocabulary. It's a fact that the more words you know, the more knowledge-able you are in terms of conversations. If you stick a hard word while chatting, your "ka-chat" will immediately be thrown overboard from the boat of your conversation. OR, if you are in a verbal argument, just throw in some random hard word and immediately, your opponent will be confused.

Also, a good vocabulary can actually help you express yourself better. It's a good alternative to stutterring and saying "ano", "kuan", "you know", or "the thing."

Start early! Here are some tips on becoming the ultimate word geek:

1. Read the dictionary everyday. Memorize if possible - all the words.

2. Play scrabble everyday.

3. Talk to nerds.

4. Watch the Dr. Phil Show whenever possible.

5. Invent words yourself then make it very familiar in your head. Once you know the word by heart, check the dictionary if there's actually a word like that. If it doesn't appear in the dictionary, then you're screwed since that word will be stuck in your head for a very long time. If you do find it there, then you're lucky.

6. Read a lot of books.

7. Go to a very old landmark (which will much likely be infested with 19th century ghosts). There, communicate with them using an ouija board. Make sure to bring a dictionary since people from the olden times will use difficult words.

*NOTE: Don't piss off ghosts. Never in this blog did I mention that the supernatural don't bite.
