First Party
The kids went to their first party last weekend. They slept the entire time we were there except for the time they were awake to eat and have a diaper change. I was so proud of how good they were, except that when we got home they had slept so much they were no longer tired and proceeded to keep us up most of the night. Clearly they were not in the mood to have their photos taken.
Also, in other news, we found a nanny and she has started. She is coming in for 5 hours a day until October when she starts full time. We were amazingly lucky-she was the first and only person we interviewed and her previous family raved about her. They even compared her to Mary Poppins, and we all know about my affection for Mary. Anyway, all is going well so far and I have even been able to run errands and go out to lunch with my co-workers. I love my babies more than anything, but sometimes it is nice to have a little break for "me" time.
Next week we are headed to Tyler for a week with my parents. We will see how the 5 hour car ride goes. Luckily we are riding with my parents so we will have assistance from the grandparents. I think Bryce is counting the days until we leave so he can get some uninterrupted sleep.
