sunday...woo hoo

You can feel the muscle knots tightening in your legs
And now and then you reach down to test the hard lumpiness.
The passes get easier and finally you're just laughing over them.
Every step and every strain and hard breath and heartpump is an investment in tomorrow morning's strength.
You're watching the change with your own eyes and feeling it under your own skin and through your own veins.
Fibers multiply and valves enlarge and walls thicken.
A miracle.

At least if the species has lost its animal strength
Its individual members can have the fun of finding it again.

I feel great today. Great in that Im-so-sore-it-hurts-to-not-even-more kind of way. I feel stronger then I have in the past month or so. What a great week at work. Working on a big house in canton mass. We are sheet rocking and plastering the whole house. Friday we finally got to hang the garage. The sheets are twelve footers, but garages are hung in 5/8 not half inch sheetrock. That probably adds about 40 lbs onto the deal. But I am learning A LOT. Not perfectly, but I could hange a whole room now by myself.

Mom bought the house I live in down in New Orleans when my grandma passed this june. My uncle picked his new daughers christening to be two days after christmas, so it looks like Im headed down there the day after christmas. I want to drive, but mom is making a fuss about it. So I get to stay in my apartment down there and renovate the master bathroom. Good practice for sure. Plus...new years in new orleans? Free plane ticket? HELLO MCFLY.

Oh, have you noticed that my exclimation key has broke? And Im too lazy to find one to cut and paste just for this post. Im headed out to breakfast at some place where you are supposed to wear your pajamas. One day off, then back to work tomorrow.
