I've been given a few things for my dorm room from church people but I really do need to start going out and shopping for some other stuff. I'm not sure exactly how much stuff to get since I'm going to be pretty crowded next year in a room with two other girls (I'm on the waiting list to maybe get a double if anyone drops out, haha). No matter what - this will be interesting. One of the girls' names is Virginia and she's from the Atlanta area and the other's name is Britanie and I'm not sure where she's from. We'll be living in Fauquier Hall 318, which isn't a great position for a dorm, but we are located near the stairs and the bathroom so I'm trying to think happy thoughts. We're also very close to the all-male dorm, haha, not that that means anything.
I'm trying to figure out the schedule/classes I want next year but it's really hard to work out and most of the stuff tries to fall on Monday/Wednesday. Grrr. And if I want to get started on German I have to give up Chemistry but if I want to get started on Chemistry I have to give up German. Then I want to piss people off and take 5 classes instead of 4, which I doubt will make either my parents or my advisor happy but we'll have to see, because I would wind up with 17 or 18 credits depending on my fifth class choice. Otherwise I'd be taking 4 classes and have 14 credits. *sigh* I know I shouldn't overload myself but to get to some of the classes I want to take later I need to get rid of these prerequisites now. The freshman seminar I want to take is based on comparing JRR Tolkein's writing to Medieval Codes and the like, which really interests me, so I'm hoping I can get in that. And the professor who teaches that is supposedly awesome! Then that leaves me with Upper-Intermediate Lit/Grammar for German, Biology 204, and Calculus II with the only teacher I'd want out of the choices. So that could be good just as is but then I want to choose between Study of Language (with a professor who gets high marks from his students) or Intro to Philosophy. Too much to choose between . But if I don't sign up for a fifth class then I will only have 1 class on Tuesday and Thursday - assuming that I take German instead of Chemistry. Argh!
Anyways, I just thought I'd update and I'd also like to point out to Christina that for once in my life I got mail on the same day/day before you. I got my housing stuff same day as you, but I also got my AP scores that same day, haha. Go figure. I guess only NA discriminates against Chesapeake. :P Well, I must be off so I will talk to you all later.
