i'm sorry for my lack of entries kiddies...work has been crazy busy lately and so i haven't had the time to update. but, without further ado, here is the latest in the life of me.
a few weeks ago i worked at the producer's guild awards and it just might have been the EASIEST gig ever. i was assigned to zach braff (yay!), who showed up late (boo.) and i was shivering my ass off while waiting for him. his publicist showed up too, which meant that she basically took over my job and i got to sit around outside the green room eating good food and being traipsed over by the likes of sam jackson, eva longoria, virginia madsen, leo dicaprio and others.
amber tamblyn was really nice and is really pretty in person. ben mackenzie was there too, but since that was the 4th show that i've worked that he's been at, i'm pretty much over it. the big excitement of the night for me though, was that nearly the entire cast of 'rescue me' was there, including denis leary. i LOVE that show, and am a big denis leary fan. he's even hotter in person than on the tv. love love love. and they're all really nice and funny...*sigh*. didn't get paid for it, but i connected with the woman who does talent for the oscars, and i'm in for that. it's the OSCARS and i'll get paid. awesome.
i'm going to london for 5 days from feb. 17th-21st and i'm super excited. i'm going to visit two friends of mine that i haven't seen in years due to the distance and i can't wait!! it's going to be fantastic to get out of the states, to see them again, and to be on vacation. the last time i was in london was 5 years ago when i was living in ireland and i'm looking forward to seeing how its changed in that time. i would LOVE to move there, so i'm going to be working the connections while i'm out there too.
i jumped on the u2 presale and now have tickets to the second LA show and the first chicago show. i'm really looking forward to seeing them during this new tour, i think it's going to be a good show. i don't know if they can top the heartfelt, return-to-basics of the elevation tour, but i'm stoked to see them try. they're doing a second north american leg in the fall and i'll probably get tickets to that too. i'm a u2 junkie. :)
i'm still dating mike. not sure how long it's going to last, not even sure where we're going with it, but we're both just letting it be what it is and taking it one day at a time. he's a nice guy, we have fun when we're together and that's really all i can ask for right now.
work is busy, which is better than me being bored, but i'm definitely going to be ready to find another job after i've been here for 2 years come august. i'm tired of the "junior fill-in-the-blank" role and i'm ready to work at a company and have my own assistant. after 5 years of that crap, i think it's time for a promotion and if i have to jump ship to get it, i will.
i think i'm crashing from my sugar high now, which is unfortunate, because i still have to be here [in the office] for another 45 minutes at least. damn.
