Moving right along

The 2nd semester has begun. It's friggin' snowing outside...decent amounts of snow, and I just finished writing a paper that is due in 1 hour. At least I am not getting a grade on it. lol

The new schedule of classes are:

The Troubles: 1969-1998 Northern Ireland. The more I read about this, the more I realise what a dumb fight this really is. Most countries kill eachother over WHICH God they pray to, not HOW they pray to the SAME God (Thanks Laurell). It's funny to learn that people also use certain people or icons without knowing anything about them. I've had a few giggles in class.

The Irish and Scottish Jacobites: Haven't done much here yet. Scared cuz my only grade is 1 paper of 5000 words. Hope I don't mess that one up. Today we're studying the Bards and Poets of Jacobitism. Should be interesting.

History of Liturature (Part Deux): SNORE......Thursdays lecture is Freud, Marx and Nietzsche. I've studied them before and have no interest in doing it again. Well, at least there's the comfort of my classmates. We get ahold on one interesting topic and the class is ours. Poor Dr. Craig doesn't know what to do with us sometimes.

And the last is a meeting with my mentor for my Dissertation Preparation class. Haven't met him/her yet so dunno what it'll be like.

Other cool things coming up:

March 2-5 trip to Aviemore and Loch Ness. This is a belated Valentine's gift from Craig. What a great gift, a chance to relax and enjoy being out of the city.

March 30-April 7 London! WOOT! We've got so many things planned, including Les Miserables in the West End. I get to finally have some sushi (can't get that in Scotland, and I haven't had it since I left in September), see some really cool stuff and travel. So excited!!

June 7-21 Spain. First it's Gibralter to see Monkeys (and play with them too!) and then it's off to Craig's apartment near the beach! I intend on getting lots of sun, relaxing with drinks by the pool, and TONS of shop therapy.

August 21-22 The Military Tattoo in Edinburg. I saw the 2006 show in TV and lemme tell you, it is awesome! Can't wait to see it in person.

Craig and I are also trying to fit in others...but we'll see how it all goes. At least there's lots to look forward to. YEAH!
