Okay, it's been a pretty good day - for the first time in decades I found a bag I really do like (last time was a Coach bag in 1992 and I kid you not.) But does anyone know of an LJ community where you can ask for people to help with pet (not necessarily *pet* causes - you know, the small but doable sort? Because if there isn't I'll set one up...
For those of you who don't know, I adopted a second dog last summer and sadly, it didn't work out here but not so sadly, it worked out great down the line for Chessie so all is good there.
The issue is, one of the other shelter dogs who was there with him in August is still there which is sad in and of itself, but where the shelter is is on wetlands and they flood every year - hell, I've had water for the last two weeks here in my house - that dog needs a home. I've met him, he's great. A tad ebullient, but great.
It's a no kill shelter and actually, my sister adopted a cat who had spent close to a year in their cat trailer. Which flooded and traumatized the cat big time. Let's not let that happen here.
