Fucking bank! I had to borrow $100 to pay for my car insurance, which had been canceled because I didn't have enough money to pay it (so there's the payment itself, and the reinstatement fee, which totals about $160). So I deposited my loaned money, and paid my insurance in the same hour (on Friday). Today (Tuesday) I find out, as I check my online bank statement, that the insurance payment bounced. The bank had not yet processed one prior transaction (meaning I had less money than I thought when I got my balance before paying my insurance) when I deposited the loaned money, and it processed a transaction that happened two days after my insurance payment, which combined left me with not enough money for them to process my insurance payment, which they tried to do after they processed every other transaction they could come up with. And because that one bounced, I got charged an additional $20 for a returned payment. Fucking hell. Honestly??? Because people with no money can really afford to pay fees for having no money??? Luckily, I'm housesitting and get just enough to scrape by on the car insurance payment, which I will be doing today. No more groceries for me for awhile. Good thing I have a small supply of pears, rice, and beans. I have my bases covered.
It will be nice when I am employed. Whenever that happens.
Oh yeah, student loan payments start this month! Yippee! Because I have an extra $220 lying around each month that I wasn't sure what to do with. And did I mention I haven't paid rent since November? Or that I owe $2000 on my car? Or that my Orca (bus) card is out of funds? Oh yes, this is a fun time. Thank god for my health.
