late-night thoughts
Boy, am I excited.
I've been poring over my degree requirements for about a week. Poking about, here and there... Man, I thought I would finish my degree by spring of 2010. But now... I've been shuffling my options... prioritizing... and I looked a little harder. If I play my cards right... and if I'm not missing something important... I could be done by summer 2009 (if I take an intensive 15-credit language course over the summer - which, looking at past summer schedules, looks like it would actually fit in with my zoo job). Good grief. That means three more quarters. Not five. That's almost a year sooner than I thought.
I'm setting good intentions! I so want to be done! This is so exciting! Oh jeez I really really hope I can make this happen. I just have to work hard and focus and keep talking to my advisors. I believe I can do it.

What will I do when I'm done with school? I'm not sure, yet. I think I'll try and get a full-time job at the zoo. Or maybe Northwest Trek. And then move into a place that's all my own; someplace that's not in the city. Or maybe I'll try to get a job in some Scottish zoo and move to Scotland with little more than my kitty and a trunk of clothes. I don't know yet. I'm pretty stoked, though. I guess I should take it one step at a time, huh?
