Days I Love My Life--July 6, 2006

There is a pub across the street from where I work. Sometimes, I head over there and order lunch to take away. I'll sit at the bar, drink a diet cherry coke and wait for about 15 minutes for one of the best hamburgers on the planet. Such is my life.

Today, I was sitting at the bar when our Canon to the Ordinary came in. Tim's a Notre Dame fan so we've done a lot of football talks and around here, Notre Dame grads are few and far between. He asks how my birthday/long weekend extravaganza was, I reply "great" and he goes outside to have lunch with whatever person he was there with. All is well and good. Until upon walking out of the pub, I trip in front of his table. My heel got caught in the sidewalk crack and I lost my balance. But having just been inside sitting at the bar I recieved an incredibly amused look. Good thing I don't belong to a church that frowns on drinking.
