Interestingly enough, "Catholic with Anglican sympathies" may soon become redundant: Some signs indicate the Church of Rome and the Church of England may soon be one again... +++
Hmm, good points. To be more specific, you may find a large "traditional" chunk of the AC coming to Rome--or so there is speculation--b/c of the very things you mentioned. I don't remember the specifics I read about, other than the meeting of Pope Benedict with the Archb. of Cant. and a document that was reported on another blog. Anyway, I said "may", not "will". But unum sint, as Christ said.
This is one of the reasons I describe myself as a Christian only. When pressed, I admit to a strong liking for High Church Anglicanism, but also for Orthodoxy...
I see why you would describe yourself thus, but what does it mean to be a "Christian" today? Ask 20 people and you'll get 20 answers, I suspect--21, if one is a liberal Anglican (ok, jk!). But seriously, who looking at Christianity today perceives a unity at all? Your orthodoxy is your Christian neighbor's heresy; "Christian" seems to me a largely empty term nowadays. Calling us "one" doesn't make us one, unfortunately.

Put it this way, maybe with a spot of English understatement: I'd be very surprised.
