Since my last update (a long time ago) so many things have happened, mostly school stuff. I started my placements, I'm in a K class at Blandy Hills Elementary. The kids are good. I think they need a lot of TLC and they will be great. THey all really seem to like me and a couple in particular have attached to me. I like it best when my teacher lets me handle a small group. I feel like a real teacher then. This is so much easier than when I was in Sweden. The kids all speak English and I know all the math and phonics they are doing. Other than that my classes are going well, a bit boring at times, but good nonetheless. I really like my Literacy teacher - she is so smart yet so sweet. You can tell she's been a 1st grade teacher.
Along with the education stuff I have been reading this great book called The Essential 55. It's written by Ron Clark and it's about all the rules he has for his class - the great thing is about it though is that they are really rules to live by at any age.
Among friends things are ok. We've (The Bobcat crew) spent many a night at the Grove playing games, watching movies, and dancing. They've come over a few times as well, specifically for my birthday which was a blast. The roomies and the girls all worked together to throw a brilliant surprise party. We also went to trivia and had dinner that night. We've gone to trivia a couple of times, have yet to win, but we have won several free drinks, which we can use in the future.
Not much drama yet, which is nice, although I'm sure it will be here before long.
My Swedish family sent a b-day present yesterday - swedish chocolate and a swedish key chain. It was so sweet of them.
Jason made a delicious brunch this morning while we watched Saved. Interesting movie. Went on a walk with Mike for a bit today as well. It was nice.
Ok so I have more to say but we're going out for dinner so I'll update later.
