Happy Eid al-Adha to sailorrogue (even though I missed it)
Well, it's only 8:09pm but I'm still stuck at work here until 11pm. I'm meeting some friends up for hanging out and partying then but until then, here I sit.
I'm reflecting on this last year and I can be honest that this year was a good year for me. I went back to school and got a new job which I love. The money is nice too, which never hurts. So now I'm looking forward trying to see where this next year will take me. The big part is school. Next year I should be totally finished with everything and thus a college grad. I will finally have my degree in something and then I'm off to Japan.
I also got my Mirena at the end of this year (Nov 14th) and it is amazing. For those who don't know what Mirena is, it's a hormonal IUD that prevents pregnancy 99.6% but also reduces cramps by 80% and menstration by 97% and let me tell you, it's awesome. I can't remember how often I've complained about my cramps, but they are from hell and cause me to have to take a day or two off. Well, with my Mirena my cramps never reached the "Oh God, take me now" but did hit the "Pay attention to me!". I popped some IBporfen and all my cramps went away every single time. My life is no longer hindered by my body.
I also had a really bad eye problem this year that has caused me to be out of contacts for the last 4 months. So here I am in glasses. But I bought a great new pair of frames last week and I adore them. Now I think I look 10x better in these glasses than I do without them. TAKE THAT EYE PROBLEM!
So here's to looking to the next year, my resolutions are as follows:
-Finish college (well, the 4 year part anyways)
Outlook? Great. I'm only 7 classes away from graduating, so I can knock those out in 2 semesters.
-Clean My Room
Outlook? Uhhhhh.....
-Learn to be a Sewing Mistress
Outlook? 50/50. It all depends if I ever get any free time this year. Last year I had zip free time and it looks like 2007 will be much of the same. Full time school and working 48 hours a week doesn't leave much free time. ;_;
-Improve my Japanese
Outlook? 75%. This may be more of a crush for the very end of the year, but seeing as I'll most likely be leaving for Japan in March 2008, I really need to improve my Japanese.
And those are my new years resolutions :)
2006, you treated me well.
2007, I hope you treat me just the same if not better :-*
HAPPY NEW YEAR, BABES!!!
