[RP] I get down on my knees...crawl on the floor...

Jim left the computer and slipped out of his quarters as Aedeline got into a comment conversation, grinning as he made a beeline for a balcony on one of the outer terraces in the city where he'd seen some unusual blossoms growing. They weren't like anything from Earth, resembling orchids but they had blood red petals...and even *he* had to admit ( Read more... )

She was in the middle of shaking her head and Jim, and trying to explain just why not all girls thought being thought of as helpless was charming to Woody. Shannon was a nice girl, but even she could sort out that Shannon was a bit too independent on that level. However if he had managed to stick around and she stuck to him too, then they actually had something there and that was a good thing. Addie heard the knock at her door and huffed a strand of hair out of her eyes in frustration.

She wasn't quite ready to even talk to him, and she was upset but not as upset as she had been when he first made the comment, and the proceeding comments... sort of helped soften the blow. Still she figured he'd get tired of standing there and let himself in. It was routine, and as much as she didn't like to admit to having a routine with him... it was true.

She left the comment to Woody and shifted around on her chair silently counting in her head and wondering just how long she could keep him out there. Sighing for a moment and shaking her head she stood up from her desk and headed toward the door to wave it open for him. She knew he was still out there, because he would never of just left, that was not Jim at all.

The door opened and she wasn't sure what to expect. The worst case scenario was Jim stark naked with words painted on his body apologizing, and the best case scenario wasn't quite pegged in her mind as easily. When the door opened she surely was overwhelmed, and this was far better than any best case scenario that she could have thought up. The flowers were amazing, and really beyond the grovelling that she had even thought of.

Then the pout and puppy eyes started and there was no stopping her from just looking at him with that adoration and apology, "You know I can't stay mad at you, and you're already forgiven just standing there. So all the grovelling you had planned? Pfft! Wasted planning."

"Baby, the way *I* grovel, it takes *weeks* to be done with it." he promised with a smirk, then shifting both bouquets into one large hand, he plucked out a single blossom and reached out to tuck it behind her ear with a grin.

"Mmmmm...lookit that. Poor thing's dying already 'cause you're making it look bad." he teased with a sincere smile, letting his fingers wander for a moment to run through her hair before he pulled loose another blossom and clutched it between his teeth with an exaggerated wag of his eyebrows.

It was a wonder how Addie could have even understood a word like love, or forgiveness before meeting Jim. She couldn't even look back on anything without wondering how it could have been different if she had known him. He stood there in all of his goofiness and she couldn't love him any less, or probably anymore than she did in those odd moments. It was the subtle hints that he made, or the way he made her smile so that her eyes lit up and her nose crinkled at the bridge a bit. All those little things, and then the grand sweeping gestures that floored her each time.

So she stood there in her doorway watching his eyebrows waggle at her, with the flower in his teeth and she just smiled, and smiled because maybe she knew just how important he was to her. The fact that he was willing to beg forgiveness in such an extreme manner for such a small mistake... that was more of an 'Addie's OverReacting' thing instead of a 'Jim Messed Up' thing...

She felt a flush rise to her cheeks a bit and a tightness in her chest like a dull ache that she didn't want to go away, "Do you know how much I love you?" Her voice had such a true tone of sincerity and honesty in it, that it almost scared her.

She meant it though, and she had never meant it more than in that moment.

When he saw her smile, Jim knew he was forgiven...hell, he knew there had never been much to forgive. Still, the groveling was fun, especially when he knew he could give Addie a giggle out of it...that dimpled, elfin grin of hers was the kind of thing he lived for.

And tonight she didn't skimp on the reward in that department...especially when she spoke. It was just a minute change in her demeanor, the lines of her face and the spark in her eyes, but that simple, sincere profession of love made his own chest tight as his own smile grew. Removing the blossom from between his teeth, he deliberately stuck it behind one of his own ears, earning him a giggle, then leaned in, flowers and all to kiss her warmly.

"Baby, it's only one of three things I *am* sure of in this world...the other two being taxes and Mike's snoring." he quipped softly, resting his forehead against hers. "And of the three, it's the only thing I'm grateful for. Y'know...except when Mike starts whistling in his sleep, 'cause then it sounds like an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo..."

Addie still was in a bit of awe just at how taken she was by this guy. Things hadn't exactly been the simplest of things for her, relationships were far from ordinary... or present for the most part. She just didn't have the time or the energy growing up, and after a certain point she just figured if it was going to happen it would have... regardless of her lack of effort. So here was Aedeline Inessa Sorokin standing in the doorway of her quarters, in a different solar system... different galaxy... in a legend of epic proportions... in the arms of a man that she actually only met less than six months ago. It was pretty much unheard of in her imagination even, still it was real... and she was happy... even when he fully embarrassed her to a rather large extent.

He also had this way of taking all the stress out of a moment by making her laugh, and at the moment she was eternally grateful for that moment of laughter. "It does! I wondered why it sounded familiar!" Addie laughed still in his arms, still in the doorway, "Get in here, or everyone," Addie glanced around, "Meaning of course you and me will think we're having some sort of a fight. Or public sex. Which I am all for... just not where there are security cameras and the chance of getting stuck in the brig... been there... and well smelled you."

"Hey...I'll have you know that brig stink was all pheremones...look at all that awesome sex we had when I got outta lockup." Jim protested with a mock pout, then grinned as he tossed the flowers onto a nearby table and wrapped his arms around her waist, hoisting her off her feet. Backing her up against the nearest wall, he slid one hand along her leg to urge her legs to wrap around his waist, gratified when she obliged willingly.

"But I like the public sex idea." he teased, leaning in to kiss her warmly. "Definitely novel, and classic. You, Lieutenant Sorokin, have a filthy mind. But forget the brig, I'm confining you to quarters as your superior officer, and sentencing you to a whole night of really great sex until you scream...something else besides my name."

There was a slight moment of pure amusement on Addie's face as she nodded, with the smirk of serious though over the pheromone argument. After all most of their conversation had shifted away from the actual icon itself and right into the proof of said icon that had gotten her upset in the first place. Still there was something to be said about the general aggressiveness that Addie didn't shy from when it came to obliging Jim with his little moments of passion. The wall she was pressed to, the ease it took for her to wrap her legs around his waist and the simple acceptance of his kiss and the consequent disciplinary action she was getting.

"First Lieutenant Sorokin, and do we have requests? For the screaming of course."

"Hmmm...nope, I think the standard "Oh God, oh yes, oh baby" will do. And my name, naturally...I'm an egoist at heart." he teased, leaning in to trail warm, teasing kisses down the side of her neck...then playfully blow a raspberry against her skin.

Drawing back just enough to look at her, laughing the whole time, he kept her pinned to the wall, reaching up to wind a lock of her hair around his finger.

"So...were you *really* pissed at me?" he asked with a teasing quirk of one eyebrow. "Like, for real pissed? Or was this just a wicked ploy to get into my pants, *pretending* to be all pissed? Because that's completely okay...I like it when you love me for my body. No complaints there."

Addie contemplated it for a moment, because she had been pretty upset... but it was one of those pissed in that exact moment things. There wasn't much carry over beyond the initial shock of it. She pretty much expected it to happen eventually, and it wasn't even that bad of an incident... it was Livejournal... and it was an icon.

Chewing on her bottom lip a bit she let her hands rest on his shoulders and shook her head no, "Not exactly *pissed* at you. The exact second I saw it? Gut shot reaction babe... that's it. After that I confess... all a ploy. A devious wicked ploy, that might still be working."

He had her pinned to the wall, and all it took was her to slink down against the wall and her hips were pressing a bit harder into his, with that smirk on her face that should have also been accompanied by *that* look.

Jim watched as she deliberately, blatantly baited him in a really good way by shifting her hips against him and letting that wicked little smirk tug at her lips.

Leaning into her a little harder, Jim caught her lips in another heated kiss, a low growl rolling at the back of his throat, breaking the kiss with a smile against her lips.

"You are *such* a brat." he chuckled, letting his hands slide up her sides and back down again, settling comfortably to grip her hips and hold her against him. "A troublemaking, evil, wicked little brat...you *are* gonna marry me, right?"

There was still a bit of his kiss lingering around in her mind, the low growl had planted it firmly there for the moment and she was reveling in just about every slight moment of contact she could get from him.

Licking her lips she could taste him for a moment, then that smirk played across her features as he described her brattyness down to an almost exact type. The question once more made her chest tight and there was a slight feeling of tension below her waist as well, but she figured she could keep all that for herself for the moment.

"What kind of a brat would I be if I actually answered that?" Addie teased before letting her hands slide up his chest to around his neck pulling him back in for a kiss.

"You'd be less of a brat...but totally be Mrs. Jim Riley 'fore you could say All Elvis Impersonator Wedding." he quipped, stealing another kiss as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her away from the wall, heading for her bed. God, she really fucking scared him sometimes...how she had such total control over every part of him. The way she could make his body sing and his heart melt with one coy little look that her youthful dimples and broad, toothy grin that always made her fall short of smoldering and land somewhere between sweet and sexy with a healthy dose of wholesome.

She was the most incredible woman he'd ever met, the cutest girl he'd ever seen...and the hottest thing on two legs. A more perfect trifecta, he'd yet to meet even in the worst of his youth.

Finally reaching the bed, he sat down on the edge and settled her squarely in his lap, straddling him as he gazed into her face with a warm smile.

"I should just get serious and ask you one of these days." he sighed, leaning in to press a kiss against her throat, working his way down to trace her collarbone with lips and teeth and tongue as he spoke between kisses, his voice vibrating against her skin. "When you won't freak....and I totally will, mark my words. Gonna marry you, you beautiful brat...keep you all to myself and not share you with anybody. Then I can use that damn icon whenever I want, it'll be my marital privilege and all that good shit..."

Whatever she did to him, it was a pretty fair guess that the same was true for her. No matter if Jim was kissing her, or just near her she always felt that same tightness in her chest paired with bit of a lightness in her steps. It was pretty safe to assume that she had never known love before this... not even before.

She's smiling though straddling his lap feeling the vibration against her neck, hearing the words he's saying to her, knowing that despite his teasing he is serious. The thought of marrying Jim is always with her, mostly because he doesn't give her much time without the reminder of marriage. She'd gladly trade her last name for his... to start over with someone that meant that much to her. She just didn't want that moment just yet.

She hasn't even told him everything... she knows she will... she's just not sure when. Instead she relies on her affection for the man she's seated upon to turn her thoughts to something easier to handle, "Mmmm... sounds like a lovely plan. Good luck with that." Addie teases as she grins down at him, her eyes lighting up with affection and admiration for just how lucky she was.

"Well thank you, that's very magnanimous, and...and...damn it, where'd my vocabulary go?" he teased, nipping at her collarbone before relaxing and flopping back hard on the bed, pulling her down along with him and enjoying the surprised giggle he got out of her.

"So whatcha think, Future Fiancee, Spouse, And Keeper Of My Debts?" he joked, promptly rolling her on her back and pinning her lightly to the mattress as he let one hand skim under her shirt, hiking it up to expose her stomach as he slid down the length of her body so he could kiss the newly bared skin. "Where shall we honeymoon once I con you into marrying my sorry ass? Aruba...Jamaica...no Beach Boys jokes, please..."

Addie settled her head on Jim's pillow her hands brushing across the top of his head casually as he kissed at her stomach, his words were warm against her skin as he started to crack jokes about a honeymoon and their future. She didn't mind talking about it because it was something that she knew would happen eventually, plus if it kept him appeased she wasn't going to argue with him for the time being.

"Okay, no jokes from the soundtrack of Cocktail... not even John Stamos references?" Addie laughed for a moment then tried to get serious again, "So I take it the beach thing is your preference for me in as little as possible right?"

"Woman, you *trying* to kill the mood?" he teased, bending his head vengefully to blow a ticklish raspberry against her belly. When he lifted his head again, he moved back up to kiss her, tangling one hand in her hair.

"And yeah, that's pretty much the idea." he added with a wicked grin as he helped her sit up a bit, hooking one hand underneath the hem of her shirt to strip it off over her head. "Though I'm thinkin' Greece is a prime location, too...nude beaches. All over. I'd have you in *nothing* before you could recite the complete works of Mortimer Snerd. Of which there are none...so that'd be pretty damn quick, just to give you a little perspective on that."
