Addie was still back pressed to the floor, knees bent over the edge of her bed, laptop sliding slowly off her lap and the edge hitting the floor beside her. Her feet had one sock on, and the other currently being tugged off by her hand that was trying to reach for the toe of it, and still hold onto her computer. She didn't even hear the door open, and when she heard Jim she abandonded all sock removal efforts.
Her head pushed backward letting her hair tangle up on the floor beneath her head as she grinned wide at him, "Hey there sexy." She kept smiling for a moment then started to argue her sobriety, "I am not... I am not drunk," she tried to assure him with her brow furrowing in protest.
"Scouts... I wasn't a scout. But seriously? Seriously Jim... not.. okay maybe a little drunk."
"Sure...just a skosh." he deadpanned, ambling over to kneel next to her. Picking up the bottle she was drinking from, he sniffed its contents and yelped, pulling it away as he made a face. "WHOAH! Darlin', I'm fuckin' *Irish*, and I don't drink anything that I can *also* use to strip the paint on my house."
Setting the bottle aside, he shook his head and reached out to remove the laptop from Addie's grip, then shifted to scoop her off her feet. "C'mere, Sauced Up Suzie," he quipped, "let's get you off the floor? And I'll see if you don't have something around here that won't clean a car engine while killing brain cells."
She let her eyes follow him as he knelt beside her, then pouting slightly as he *stole* her bottle of alchol, then laughed when he claimed it could strip paint off a house. It wasn't that bad, and maybe it was just because she had started out slow and now her tongue was slightly numb. She barely tasted a thing when she drank it, and all she actually felt was the warmth in her lap... which was the battery of the laptop no doubt

Jim laughed as she started burrowing against his neck while he held her, then licked him and dissolved into giggles. Okay, so she smelled like a brewery with all the crap she'd been drinking, but damn if she wasn't the cutest goddamn thing he'd ever seen.
Moving across her quarters, Jim deposited her on the couch and patted her leg, looking into her face. "Okay, I can *smell* your blood alcohol from here...we're gonna get some water in you? Then put your ass to bed...the fluids'll keep the headache to a minimum in the morning. Now you gonna cooperate in the meantime? Or am I gonna have to resort to using charm and good looks to win you over?"
She was gently deposited onto the couch against the far wall of her quarters which was a good place to sit, but really her mind had been headed to the gutter and this wasn't anywhere near the gutter she meant. He was looking at her though, and she was trying to keep that straight face for as long as she could muster, which was proving a bit difficult
( ... )
Jim giggled at that...the high-pitched giggle he usually hid and Addie usually brought out. Drawing back a little, he kissed the tip of her nose.
"Well the good looks are free for the taking, Schnapps..." he smirked...then shifted and scooped her legs out from under her again, shifting her back from kneeling to sitting on the couch and bent to pick up the glass off the floor and hand it to her again.
"And the charm is what's gonna get you to finish this glass of water." he smirked, winking. "And a few hundred thousand *million* more besides...okay. I'll settle for two and a half. More water in the morning...along with a little hair of the dog, if you need it. And when you're sober again? I'll regale you with tales of what an adorable drunk you are, and pout real cute at you for not letting me get drunk along with ya."
Addie pouted taking the glass in both hands bringing it to her mouth for a sip while her eyes wide kept an eye on Jim. Letting the glass settle on her lap she pouted again, "You are not as much fun when I'm drunk. Nope." She shook her head defiantly along with it all
( ... )
"Baby, when you get drunk on *that* stuff? No I'm not." Jim chuckled, shaking his head a little. "The proof on that shit's enough to get a bottle of *moonshine* drunk
( ... )
Addie watched Jim as he headed into the bathroom only to return with more water for her. Once innocent looking eyes narrowed for a moment, clearly displeased with his efforts to sober her up. He did however take a seat beside her after handing her the glass of water which she simply held for a moment letting her sad eyes come back as he tried to console her request for a drunk Jim Riley with the offer of that weekend. She sighed too loudly for her own good before Jim leaned over in an attempt to kiss her pout away

"It was drain cleaner last time, too." Jim pointed out with a smile. "Least if what my brother tells me is any indication, and I trust him implicitly."
""You're gonna stay right?"
Jim snorted, grinning down at her. "Does a bear shit in the woods? Hell yeah, I'm stayin'...then in the morning when I completely cure your hangover, you can thank me with tons of sex." he quipped, reaching up to run his fingers through her hair. "Because, let's be honest...we both know how fabulous I am in bed, and truthfully: you *really* won't remember tonight come tomorrow. So it'd be a waste of my skills. And that'd be a shame for me to be awesome and you not to remember it, wouldn't it?"
Addie nodded her head bobbing against his shoulder a bit as she shifted down a bit more. She had mellowed a bit, and was taking orders without much arguement, "Mike..." she paused trying to recall the details but aside from an arguement about a sock... or her bra... she didn't have much on the details there, "Mike helped last time. I have to remember 'No.' for Ronon and drinking, but he doesn't really hang out too much... I figured... 'What could it hurt??' and apparently... it hurts me, and it will hurt me in the morning."
Pressing her fingers into her knee a bit she took another sip of water and laughed a bit to his comment about his prowress in bed. "That would be such a pity... *and* a waste of your talents of course." The back of her throat still hurt a bit from the burn of the booze, but the water and the calm discussion was soothing her overall comfort level... it was giving her drunken disorderly conduct a bit of a better ending at the very least.
"Ahhhh yes...drinking to be good company." Jim surmised. "You hang with Ronon...he's a pretty taciturn dude, so you sit down for a drink...or five...or fifty. I had a guy in med school did that to me once? Real quiet guy, so I drank 'stead of talkin'. Had a hangover so bad the next day I couldn't open my fucking eyes for *shit.*"
He paused to watch her as she talked and drank...both activities which ought not to be particularly alluring, but there she was...cute as a button and twice as sexy, and drunk as a skunk.
"We finish that water?...damn near." he sighed, checking her glass. "Guzzle the rest of that down, and we'll put you to bed, hmmm? And yes...I'm gonna stay, but you're getting mellow, and ten bucks says you're out like a light in ten minutes."
"Nooo... this won't be *that* bad," she started out with a bit more hope in her voice, "God, I hope it won't be that bad." The glass was still in one hand and her fingers picking at the fabric of her pants at various points on her knee and thigh. It was really easy for her to get distracted at this point, and even as much as she tried to maintain her focus on her own thoughts they just trailed away from her with ease. She felt his hand surround hers for a moment checking the level of water in her glass, then letting go and giving her more prodding to finish.
Instead she sighed shifting against him more trying to ease against him as if his body would eventually conform to her. She sipped at her water then took the last swallow into her mouth and was half tempted to just spit it at Jim for the hell of it, but by the time she thought of that she had already swallowed the water down.
"Jusscuz I'll be out like a light don't mean I wouldn't be upset if you left me alone."
Jim could all but see the wicked look in her eyes that never quite saw fruition as Addie finished the last of her water, all while trying to slump more comfortably against him. When she was done, he took the glass from her and shifted to support her with one hand playfully, keeping her upright and still heavily leaning as he bent to set the glass down next to the sofa.
"Sleepy doesn't mean not lonely. Duly noted." he replied, biting back a laugh as he straightened again and let her lean against him, reaching over with his opposite hand to brush a stray lock from her forehead before shifting to kiss her temple affectionately, then patted her shoulder. "C'mon, Miss...the Love Doctor says to bed. Stat."
Feeling his hand pressing against her back as he set the empty glass down felt good, it was that steady pressure in one spot that made her lean into his fingertips a bit harder before he settled back down to let her rest into his shoulder. The gentle movement of a strand of hair along with the kiss that followed made her shut her eyes and sigh softly trying really hard to just relax
( ... )
Jim caught her hand with a laugh as she fumbled to reach for his, then grunted as she slid herself onto Jim's lap...perhaps a bit less gracefully as usual as she sort of shifted up and plopped herself there, but he was fairly sure she thought it was a smooth move.
As she cuddled up to him, Jim wound his arms around her and just held her for a moment, drunken haze be damned. "Wanna know a secret? I don't want you to move, either." he quipped, rubbing her back lightly before slipping an arm beneath her knees and winding the other around her waist.
"Make ya a deal, though...we can move together." he smirked, shifting to kiss the tip of her nose as he stood, lifting her into his arms so he could carry her over to bed.
