(no subject)
Well the weekend went alright. Friday I spent some time with Jamie saw The Longest Yard... It was good, not great but good and had funny parts to it. Sat. Tom and I were supposed to go hiking but we decieded it would be cutting it to close to go hiking and still make it back in time to dress up for birthday dinner with the rents. Afterwards we were all dressed up with nowhere to go. So went went down to my work and drove around a bit. I wanted to see the distance from Hayley's house to lincoln zoo. It's only 1.9 miles there, a straight shot down lincoln/fullerton for the most part. I figure I can rollerblade. Then we called Mike Steph and Melisa to see what they were doing...mike never called back but Mel and Steph weren't doing anything so we suggested bar hoping in lincoln park.... GOOD bar scene. :) We ended up at "the apartment". Awesome place. club/bar 2 floors...only problem was that it was packed but it's depaul and preppyville so what do you expect! :P
Then today I felt like shit but went over to toms, walked doovy, ate a small dinner, then took a nice drive.
Tomorrow we plan to go hiking or horseback riding (depending on the money situation....
oh btw, Tom quit his job. He was unhappy there his boss was a complete idiot. ok, so let me elaborate, how I found this out. tom called me while I was at work on Wed. He said he wasn't at work and he wasn't going to be the rest of the day and that he had an interview with his old job that he used to intern at in college. I of course was like WHAT we need the money! you can't just quit!
He told me he showed up his boss was being an ass and sent him home with no pay before tom could even get out of the car, because he was 10 minutes late. (granted tom always stays much later than usual at the end of the day)
anywho, Tom got the job. Negotiated salary and he'll be making about 20,000 dollars more a year with this job plus nice sized bonus's. So needless to say I was no longer angry at him for quiting his old job. Which he went in Thursday to turn in his letter of resignation, and they told him to pack up and leave that day. there loss, oh well.
So now we have a few days together that he can come to work with me before he starts his new job.
On another note, after we are able to solve some differances that tom and I are still working on we want to get a house soon. Since we are already paying two rents that equal a morgage we figure why the heck not. We saw one on our walk today in park ridge. It was a fixer upper but we guessed it was going for 200,000 not bad and in that area it would sell for alot more even with just basic lawn care. but the contract is already pending so i guess that's out. :(
Well I better be off to sleep, got a busy day tomorrow! tata for now
