Vocabulary Expansion
As you can tell from the title, I'm trying to expand my pathetic vocabulary. Anyway, you can never know too many words. So here's a kind of meme thing. I'm going to make a list of six words I think everyone should know how to spell, or, at least, get close enough for spellcheck to recognize it.
1. Quixotic- Exceedingly idealistic
2. Obdurate- Stubborn, refusing to change one's opinions
3. Procrastinate- Delay or postpone (by doing something else)
4. Pelf- Money, usually gained through unwholesome means
5. Ubiquitous- Present, appearing, or found everywhere
6. Phlegmatic- (Of a person) having an unemotional and solidly calm disposition.
They don't have to be big words. Strange words are just as cool. Please make your own list! It doesn't have to be six either. You can have one or one hundred!
