Yay, Deppenport is crack and you're My Man! The pangs of longing in this make me want to cry a little.

And I lu-huv this: When Johnny is around Jack, he want to tell Jack everything - everything that might make him look uncool or compromise his position as the guy to be around. Tell me you'll give me Uncool!Johnny.

Also, the little detail about Johnny being careful not to mention Jack too much is perfect - what an authentic, universal dilemma. I love it.

That it's from Johnny's POV is very cool as well; it seems more intimidating to write from his perspective, but you've done an artful job of it. Bravo!

OK, I agree on one condition (who am I kidding here?): YOU write some more of your own Deppenport. I loved your fic! It was really different from mine, mostly in that, in your fic, the guys were looking for sex, and in mine, they're all deep and meening ful and stuff.
