Mike was more than willing to follow Heira across the encampment, watching her openly as she led him along. It had to be something about them as a whole, but like most of the Athosians she moved with a grace that was startling...a comfort in her own skin that he'd seen in every single one of Teyla's people. They lacked so many of the hangups he felt...that he knew a lot of humans felt...and it was one of the reasons being among them was so freeing because for a while, it got to him. Within a couple of days he stopped feeling so constrained, and felt okay in his own body, not to mention his own head.
However, there was comfortable...and there was owning. And Heira owned herself as she moved...hell, she could own any room she walked into, of that Mike was certain.
They finally reached her abode, both of them standing outside the doorway. When she mentioned leaving the whole place to him during his stay, he felt a little flustered.
"What? Oh...aw, that's really cool of you, but...I can't put you outta your own house like that." he stammered, trying not to blush as he smiled politely. "I mean...well...I could just find space anywhere..."
The look she gave him, however, brooked little argument. She was offering him her hospitality, that he knew...and refusing seriously would be damn rude by her standards.
With a sigh, he glanced at the dwelling, then back at her with a smile. "Thank you." he finally relented with a small, crooked smile. "Thank you very much, I appreciate the gesture."
"As long as you can tolerate the noise from the campfires at night, I am sure you will be fine."
"Me? Aw, yeah...I can pretty much sleep through anything, but I probably won't sleep much around here." he assured her with a grin. "And I mean that in a good way, mind you. I'm always up late around here, just...talking to people, I guess. Sometimes just hanging by the fire or watching the stars. Relaxing, y'know?"
