Well...Time for an update.
Today was quite alright. Nothing to great but nothing really to complain about. Today of course is Saturday and as usual I have to get up at 6 and go to work. Work was tiring like it always is, but it went by quickly.
Well, after work, being the great son that I am, I bought my mom chinese food because she was having a craving and I thought I'd be nice. Besides, she was really tired. After I got the food, I went home, almost got into an accident - but i didn't! (because I'm an awesome driver - haha) and then my mom and I ate dinner and for the past four hours I have done nothing but stay at home and be lame because people were already busy or couldn't hang out. I talked to a few people on the phone, people who I haven't talked to in awhile, and now I'm out in the living room, typing this entry, eating the fortune cookie i got tonight, and watching the wonderful movie The Green Mile on tv. I forgot how amazing this movie is. I think I might go out and buy it.
"Your life gains the stability you desire" - thats my fortune. Quite ironic if you really know me.
Today I have been in and out of deep thought. Its all about this one thing thats really starting to bother me. I keep thinking that I should quit college right now and be a Tech at Tires Plus full time, save up tons of money, move out to California and go to school to build and design hot rods. I don't know though. I have a scholarship now and am able to go to school for pretty cheap. My mom says that I should go and get a degree in something just in case things fall apart so I'll have something to fall back on. But I don't know.
Yan-hui -thats chinese for Banquet if any of you were wondering. It was on the back of my fortune cookie.
Last weekend, Joff and I had ourselves an adventure and took some pictures. We rode for 3+ hours and afterwards I was really sore. To start out, we rode from our neighborhood through Sarasota Golf Club, rode down Porter, stopped at the Industrial Park and Joff rode down a big hill. I tried to ride down it but my bikes pedals kept getting stuck in the long grass. Anyways, after we took some pictures at the park we rode down Porter to Palmer and eventually to the Gazebo and stopped. Earlier that day (Saturday) it rained so the hills behind the gazebo were a little wet - but we still went ahead and rode through. Of course it was muddy but we had fun. We made it through the muddy terrain and made it to a lake and found a fire pit by it. In the fire pit there were random objects and being as cool as we are, we made up a story of how the objects got there.
Well, the fire pit fun left and we decided to get back on our bikes. We rode around the lake and were blinded by the gigantic lights at the driving range on Fruitville. We found a path that went down towards the driving range and so we decided to take it. Before going over to the driving range we rode to the building next to it. We thought it was the library but soon found out that it wasn't. We rode around the building and found that this gate was open in the back and took a peek and explored inside of it. Inside were county trucks, a big mirror that read "CHECK YOUR LIGHTS" on the top and it also had a vaccuum station and a water hose, which we used to wash our bikes off with. Well, since I brought my camera and considering there was a mirror I suggested that we take pictures and we did. We took several pictures and then saw headlights through the fence and relized that it was the security guy and so we rode out of the gate and away really fast. EXCEPT! Right at the moment that we rode off, Joff's bike decides to let go of its chain and not let Joff pedal. SOO, Joff ran with his bike and I rode away. "That was awesome!" I said. That was right after we got to a safe distance. After watching the golf cart police circle the build several times (obviously trying to find us) we went over to the driving range, which now had the gigantic lights turned off. We rode around the field, took some pictures and thought we were SOOOO cool that we took some and stuck them in our spokes. Wow, we're soo cool. Anyway, we wanted to take Apex or whatever that road is called (the road that the fruitville library is on) back home but we didn't want to ride on fruitville because of the traffic. So, being as stealthy as we were we rode around the back of the county building next door to the driving range and rode into the deep ditch and over to the library. Joff thought it would be cool to climb the momument at the library but became too tired half way up and was too tired to climb higher or get down - I told him to jump. He did. We rode away from the library and to make a long story short - we eventually made it home.
Wow, that took longer than I thought it would. Here are some pictures of our lovely adventure last weekend....
