It's almost time to change apartments once again. Saying goodbye to the crap-ass squalor of the complex we are currently is will not be that hard. The air conditioner is leaking for the second time this week. I can't wait to get out of this hell hole. Although shopping for apartments in 108 degree heat is not exactly my idea of a good time either. North Phoenix is really a crap shoot...totally ghetto or incredibly wonderful. I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Arrete, a brand new building. Oy, it had everything I wanted, but they needed us to move in sooner than we need and it was just too expensive at this point. I have to keep referring to these places as jumping off points to the bigger Dream of living in Victoria with Wil, a backyard, a red accent wall, and a pug. Is that too much too ask? I'd even negotiate the wall, but everything else is essential.
Tomorrow is also going to be busy. I am helping Wil paint his classroom and then off to Paradise Valley for more hunting. At this rate, I just need to buy a collapsible yurt and join some Eskimos to search for caribou.
