Any port in a storm!

Every once in a while, a good thing happens to interrupt the ever-constant barrage of crappy things. Actually, sometimes you even get more than one good thing, which ended up happening today! I have a new laptop, which means I finally have internet access once more! (Now that I've gone through the entire quarter without it... Eh, well, life goes on.) In bigger news, I was given a couple extra days to study for my genetics final, for which I am ETERNALLY grateful to Dr. Yasuda. If I had taken it today, I would have failed my exam, and it happens to be worth 25% of my grade for that class.

I've had no time for anything this quarter! I've been trying to keep up with work, choir, friend issues, classes/homework, and family (in that order, I'm afraid). It hasn't been an altogether sucessful endeavor... And I've been sick nearly constantly, which doesn't help.

On the bright side, all my slaving away for choir has paid off! The Christmas concerts were fantastic, and even though I was sick during both of them, my voice still mostly worked. It didn't crack at all, and I didn't start coughing in the middle of a song, for which I was grateful. I amazed myself when I hit the high C's in A Hymn of the Nativity with no problem, because my range drops when I'm sick. It was so exciting! People who I didn't even realize had seen it were coming up to me today and saying how much they enjoyed it and how wonderful our choir is!

I was going to write more, but I really should study some more for genetics, history, and English, and write that one essay, and call my boss to find out what the heck I'm supposed to do tomorrow, and...
