It seems like every time I come home, my mom is listening to a new old CD. To clarify, wonderful old music that she loves but had never before introduced me to. For example, I am currently enjoying The Carpenters. I'd listened to a couple of their songs before ("Top of the World" & "Merry Cristmas Darling"), and liked them, but didn't know they had so many good ones that I've been missing all this time. I must blame her also for Simon and Garfunkel, Dan Folgelburg, Eric Clapton, etc.
Yesterday, my dad and brothers drove down to Seattle and picked up Jennifer, Heather and me and we went out to eat before taking Juniper to the airport. She's in Boston for a conference this weekend. Then today, I went with my family to a birthday party for a little girl who goes to our church, and it was tons of fun. We went to Chef Chen and stuffed ourselves with Chinese food, and generally had a good time with a bunch of friends. Later tonight Carl, Casey and I are going over to our other friends' house to hang out, and in the meantime, I've been reading the next book in a series Carl found. Life is good.
Just one small complaint about being home right now: I'll miss the SU Battle of the Bands tonight.
Now I just have to force myself to make time for homework at some point.
